The "X-Men" are coming to the small screen (again)!
If you loved the X-Men growing up because you were lucky enough to catch the cartoon on TV and have fallen even more in love with the franchise since the massive success on the big screen, prepare for some amazing news because your favorite group of lovable superhero mutants and misfits are once again returning to TV. And it’s going to be epic.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that Marvel, 20th Century Fox, and Burn Notice‘s Matt Nix will all be teaming up on this action-adventure TV show that will bring to life (on a more regular basis) these unique (and uniquely gifted) superheroes.
Between Supergirl, Gotham, Arrow, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil (just to name a few) it’s pretty obvious TV can have some absolutely amazing superhero-themed shows. And with the incredible team behind this series, there’s no doubt it’s going to be absolutely amazing.
Fox Entertainment is stoked to be working on the collaboration and bringing elements of the Marvel Universe to life. Their President, David Madden, recently stated, “Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network — and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe.”
Because of the massive success of Marvel franchises (and, of course, the popularity of these particular superheroes), it’ll be fascinating to see how they bring this to life. And while there’s not yet a start date, it already seems like time is moving way too slow because we want to watch this awesome show, like, yesterday already.
