The Walking Dead ended its fifth season last night (OMG), and while we might have to wait a whole year to get Rick Grimes back in our lives, we don’t have to wait a whole year for more Walking Dead. The planned Walking Dead spin-off is coming to AMC this summer, and not only does it have a name, but now we’ve got the first tiny teaser for it, too. This deserves an OMG as well.

This new Walking Dead spin-off (which stars Kim Dickens!) serves as a prequel to the series and tell the origin story of the zombie apocalypse. So not only does that sound like the story we’ve been dying to hear for the last five seasons (because we still don’t know exactly how this whole thing started), but its got a crazy awesome name, too: Fear the Walking Dead. Oh don’t worry, we already do.

The 15-second teaser trailer offers no glimpse of the characters on the show, but rather a simpler life in Los Angeles, pre-walkers. A voice-over — that sounds like a radio announcer — mentions that there’s a “strange virus” going around in a five states, “so if you’re not feeling well, go home, take care of yourself.” Does this heavily imply that this whole zombie thing started from the flu? I am both terrified, and excited at the same time.

Check out the teaser below, and prepare yourself for late summer 2015, because that’s when we all get hooked on Fear the Walking Dead.
