Daenerys Targaryen and Yara Greyjoy are two of our favorite characters on Game of Thrones, in no small part because they’re both powerful, ambitious women who won’t stand for any nonsense. So obviously, we were all about that scene in season six where Dany and Yara finally got in the same room together. And we got way more than we could have hoped for, thanks to the palpable chemistry between the two female leaders.

But if you can believe it, that perfect spark wasn’t pre-rehearsed — apparently, it just happened. Vulture recently interviewed Gemma Whelan (the actress who plays Yara) and asked if the sexual attraction was scripted — the answer will surely delight you:

YAS, Yara. And as for whether or not that flirting might turn into something more, that answer will surely also delight you…

“Emilia and I both enjoy the idea. [Laughs.] We get along very well, so we enjoy working with each other quite a lot. So maybe! I don’t know! It’s up to the writers and the machinations of their minds. We like each other, we reflect each other, and whether it’s more than friendship is irrelevant, really.”

Have we ever shipped a Game of Thrones romance so hard? Probably not since the days of Jon Snow and Ygritte (RIP, Ygritte). But as we all know, in the world of Westeros, it’s best not to get too attached…
