The new "X-Men" series shared its name and a cast pic, and we are x-cited
There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the new X-Men series coming to FOX. Mainly because, until very recently, we haven’t been given much info about what to expect. But we’ve just learned that the X-Men television series finally has a title and (what seems to be) a full cast!
Obviously we’re pretty x-cited about this new revelation.
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner tweeted a photo of the the cast during a table read for the show. And she also happened to give away the title. But we’re trying to take it all in stride since it’s very possible that the name she gave away could just be a working title or the name of the pilot episode.
We think Gifted seems to be a pretty fitting name for the series.
You might recall that Professor Charles Xavier referred to his students as “gifted.” In fact, it’s even in the name of his Institute for Gifted Youngsters. And as EW pointed out, it also happens to be the title of the first volume to Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men comic series.
Many of the already announced actors were present during the table read. But one actor caught us off guard. The Originals star Joseph Morgan happened to be there. But EW learned that he was just sitting in on the read, and isn’t confirmed as a cast member.
Here are some of the actors who ARE confirmed: Stephen Moyer, Jamie Chung, Amy Acker, Emma Dumont, Percy Hynes White, Blair Redford, Sean Teale and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Lind posted pictures of the cast in Dallas.
Seeing them together is really getting us pumped for this show!
We still don’t know a whole lot about the series. But slowly and surely, more and more info is being revealed. We’ll take what we can get when we can get it.
