If you’re like us, you’re still mourning the news about the latest shows that Netflix has canceled. Curious, we wanted to get to the bottom of what’s going on, so here’s why Netflix is canceling shows like Sense8 and The Get Down, according to Brit + Co. Of course, you can add other faves, like Bloodline and Marco Polo, to the list of canceled Netflix shows, too. ☹

Though Netflix doesn’t release its viewership numbers, it’s probably obvious that the ~big~ hits don’t get canceled. However, we’re still grieving all the ones that were just let go…they definitely seemed like hits to us!

Recently, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings spoke to CNBC about the shows, Vulture reported.

O-kay…makes sense.

higher cancel rate?! Noooooo!

And what about the competition, like Amazon? Hastings spoke about them to CNBC, too, reported Vulture.

Though we are SUPER BUMMED about all the canceled Netflix shows, thankfully, we can keep binge-watching them and theorize what would have happened in additional seasons down the line. (Tell us we’re not the only ones who do this!) And we ~do~ have to admit that Hastings seems to know what he’s talking about. Meanwhile, we look forward to more hit shows that are sure to come in the future (hopefully, the not-too-distant future — hint, hint, Netflix!).
