Whoa, it turns out "Westworld" has costumes that are just as futuristic as the show
Ever since HBO premiered their futuristic drama Westworld, we’ve all become oddly sympathetic to and obsessed with robots. The TV series has left us with so many questions about the inner workings of the park and show, even down to the costumes. Turns out, the actors are sporting the finest and most elegant fabric, a lot of which has to be handmade and dyed!
The fashion connoisseurs over at Racked sat down with the show’s costume designer Ane Crabtree, and got all of the deets of how she pulls together the looks — down to 3D printing fabrics to ensure each piece captures the bespoke feel.
You can’t get anymore futuristic than that!
Are you freaking out too?! We expected Hollywood to work their magic on sets, but not in the literal sense! There are so many industrial and technical parts to the costume design! The outfits are definitely just as futuristic as the story line, if not more.
Still, it’s so cool that 3D printing is being used to bring intricately designed and textured fabrics back to us. Just imagine all the possibilities!
