WARNING: Plot details from the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf,” lie ahead.

Hey, Game of Thrones fans! You all remember when Brienne of Tarth and Sandor “The Hound” Clegane almost killed each other while fighting over who should look over Arya, right? Who could forget that?! Well, in an ironic twist, apparently Brienne and the Hound. Or they can at least look past it.

The pair reunited in King’s Landing, when they showed up with their respective parties to discuss the threat of the army of the dead.

And while walking to the dragon pit for said meeting, they had a little time to catch up.

Brienne: “I thought you were dead.”

The Hound: “Not yet. You came pretty close.”

Brienne: “I was only trying to protect her.”

The Hound: “You and me both.”

Brienne: “She’s alive, Arya.”

The Hound: “Where?”

Brienne: “Winterfell.”

And here’s where it gets *really* good.

The Hound: “Who’s protecting her if you’re here?”

Brienne: “The only one that needs protecting is the one that gets in her way.”

The Hound: “It won’t be me.”

Twitter was quick to call the pair a couple of divorced/separated parents, raising their ‘lil killer.

And that’s the perfect description, because the pair have seriously come so far. Just think back to that aforementioned time when Brienne nearly left the Hound for dead in Season 4.

And here they are in Season 7, not trying to kill each other at all. So like, we should get them BFF necklaces, right?

In bad news, the season finale saw aunt Dany and nephew Jon bone (but they don’t know they’re related!) and ice dragon Viserion take down the Wall so that the army of the dead could storm the North, as only a couple examples.

But there is a light in all this darkness and that light is Brienne and the Hound getting along. Now, if we could just get Brienne and Tormund in the same space again…
