Ser Jorah is totally still upset about losing Dany's affection on "Game of Thrones," and boy, love hurts
Poor Ser Jorah. Homeboy finally recovered from his greyscale (thanks to Sam!), and made his way back to his Khaleesi. You know, the woman/leader he’s been pining after for literal YEARS.
His feelings are still very real, as we discovered in a letter he wrote to Dany when he thought his greyscale would get the best of him.
But upon making his way back to Dany as promised, he quickly realized that another man is in the picture: Jon Snow.
In the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones Season 7, “Beyond the Wall,” Ser Jorah arguably gave Jon his seal of approval when he told Jon to keep his family’s sword, Longclaw, after Jon tried to return the sword to him. He also said that Jon should pass the sword onto his children one day.
Despite that, you could still see so much hurt on Ser Jorah’s face when Dany took Jon’s side in the season finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf,” while discussing travel strategy.
Dany needed to head North to take on the Night King and his army, but Ser Jorah and Jon had differing opinions about the best way for her to get there.
Jon, meanwhile, maintained that it’d be best for he and Dany to sail together. “It’s your decision, your Grace. But, if we’re going to be allies in this war, it’s important for the northerners to see us as allies. If we sail to White Harbor together, I think it sends a better message.”
In the end, Dany agreed with Jon. “I’ve not come to conquer the North. I’m coming to save the North. We sail together.” And Jorah didn’t appear to take Dany’s decision too well.
LIKE, JUST LOOK AT HIS REACTION TO DANY’S ANSWER, TO DANY SIDING WITH JON OVER HIM, AND TELL US HE ISN’T HURTING.
Yeah, exactly. And if he thinks that’s bad, just imagine how he’d react to #BOATSEX.
But what were we expecting from Ser Jorah? He may have given Jon his approval, sure, but that doesn’t mean he’s over Dany. Honestly, we’re not sure if he’ll ever get over Dany. Hopefully, he’ll be able to handle her interest in Jon better with time.
That is, if they can make it past the whole aunt and nephew thing…
