Thanks be to the Netflix gods, a Sarah Silverman comedy standup special is coming soon to a streaming service near you. This isn’t the first comedy special that Sarah Silverman has done. In 2013, Sarah Silverman: We are Miracles aired on HBO and was (a) hilarious and (b) got her an Emmy win along with a few other award nominations. And obviously we all remember The Sarah Silverman Program from Comedy Central…but lately we’ve mostly seen her (killing) guest star roles on drama programs like Masters of Sex and The Good Wife.

While we don’t know much — or anything, really — about her newest venture, we’re definitely looking forward to another badass lady in comedy being available for our binge watching pleasure.

There are lots of things to be grateful for when it comes to Netflix, but we really love how lately they’ve hardcore leaned into supplying us with the sort of niche programming that we used to only get once in a blue moon from traditional sources. While it’s also definitely a cultural shift to appreciating women comics and women-lead programming, Netflix has been killing the game lately with all kinds of programming…be it weird sci-fi, the diversity we’ve all been hoping for, or comedy specials starring women.

We’re definitely looking forward to some more standup comedy from Sarah Silverman, and to see what Netflix has up its sleeves to make the special ~new and exciting.~ Can we just have it now, please?
