Here’s the quick American Horror Story rundown to bring everyone up to speed real fast:

Season 6 premieres in TWO WEEKS. We still have no idea what it’s going to be about!

Supposedly, the theme is based one one of these six promos!

Evan Peters has red hair right now.

Nothing makes sense anymore, and we’re questioning our own reality with each new teaser released!

Great, so now that we all know what’s going on, it’s time to look at some images from the set. These are neither confirmed by FX, let alone American Horror Story, so take them with a grain of salt, or whatever the equivalent of “a grain of salt ” is in the AHS world.

The new set pictures show a church (it’s a church, right? A house?), somewhere in the middle of the woods/forest…and also a group of people outside the building with torches and/or maybe pitchforks. Um…what?

There are also images of make-shift wooden structures, that kind of resemble a barn. But still, what?

We’d speculate as to what’s going on, but seriously, wtf. What? Like…what? The only trailer that this sorta fits in with is the one with the ~alien abduction~ in the middle of a field, but even that still doesn’t exactly mesh with “spooky building with people holding torches outside.”

These new images from the set seem to fit in MORE with the theme of the “Lost Colony” that was teased earlier in the summer. But even that theme doesn’t fit in with any of the six confirmed trailers that Season 6 MIGHT be about!! Do you see what kind of endless loop AHS has started down?

At first glance, these images also evoke something out of the Salem Witch trial era, but AHS has already tackled witches. Unless they’re going back to the idea of Coven, and honestly, HELL YES!

But that’s probably not going to happen.

So what do these pictures mean for Season 6? What’s happening here? WHAT IS THE THEME? Thankfully, we’ve only got 14 days to go until we find out for real what the heck is happening. Hopefully.
