Thanksgiving is literally just around the corner — we can practically taste the pumpkin pie — but it’s already feeling a whole lot like Christmas. Because Pentatonix just dropped a look at its A Very Pentatonix Christmas special, and it’s music to our ears.

The fa-la-la-la fantastic video shows the Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum recording group performing an a capella version of holiday hymn “How Great Thou Art” with none other than Jennifer Hudson. And let us tell you, J-Hud hits some notes that will have you thinking back to her powerhouse performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” as Effie White in Dreamgirls.

Just, wow.

Not only that, but the performance is giving us so much holiday cheer. The festive song choice, the bright and colorful decorations, the warm and celebratory energy. It’s all working for us, and — thankfully — there’s a lot more where that came from.

In addition to the duet with J-Hud — which also features bass vocalist Matt Sallee — the one-hour special will “take viewers on a musical journey filled with joy, heart, and laughter as the group performs some of their holiday favorites,” according to NBC. Jay Leno and America’s Got Talent winner Darci Lynne Farmer will also appear, with other guests to come.

All this is getting us so, so excited to watch A Very Pentatonix Christmas on November 27th at 10 pm on NBC. And, of course, Christmas at large. But first, let’s turn our attention to turkey, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce, oh my!
