Nick Offerman may have flawlessly portrayed Ron Swanson on television — the hypermasculine Libertarian, government-hating breakfast food connoisseur on Parks and Recreation — but the actor’s real life political worldview is a little more nuanced than that of our beloved head of the Pawnee parks department.

(YES, THE REAL RON SWANSON IS AN ACTUAL WOODWORKER IN CASE YOU WERE UNAWARE)

When asked for his thoughts about the direction of the presidential campaigns, Nick elaborated on his political philosophy based on human decency:

Nick also compared the critiques of Hillary versus the critiques of Trump — pointing out that negative information about Hillary is the type of critique typical for a politician — while Trump’s past includes fraud and zero political experience. When asked how he plans to vote, Nick explained why he is Hillary all the way:

Offerman continued to speak on the role of sexism in the election — calling for a literal smashing of the patriarchy <3
