Netflix

Technology is awesome, but even under the best circumstances, it sometimes fails. And very occasionally it fails in the most spectacular way imaginable, you know, like supplying the wrong subtitles for a movie on Netflix! But it’s not just any flub.

It’s the most epic (and hilarious) fail we’ve ever seen.

A Netflix user discovered a strange glitch: BBC’s Planet Earth was subtitled with words from Aziz Ansari’s recent stand-up special. As in, Aziz Ansari, the funniest person on Earth, was essentially narrating a nature program.

If you’re thinking that actually sounds pretty awesome, you’d be right! Aziz Ansari’s voice is pretty different to David Attenborough, but it worked perfectly.

It gave the program a whole new meaning, where the animals suddenly became funny and opinionated. The subtitle below is a little hard to read, but it says, “I think you should respect me a little bit” (now imagine that in Aziz’s high-pitched voice, and with LOTS of attitude).

BOOM.

You can see all the photos right here. Wouldn’t it be great if Aziz Ansari could narrate everything on Netflix? You know… just some food for thought!
