Marie Kondo is coming to Netflix, and this is the news of our decluttering dreams
Get ready to binge-watch the show that will (finally) inspire you to tidy up.
In case you’re not familiar, Marie Kondo’s KonMari Method is all about sparking joy in your home by tidying things up in the most magical way possible. The Japanese organizing consultant’s decluttering technique has swept the world, not only because it’s made people’s homes more orderly, but also calmer and happier. Basically, it’s a method for rethinking the meaning of everything you own.
Once Kondo’s first book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up gained popularity, she quickly became a household name. In the self-help book, she demystifies the fear that comes along with organizing and can make the process downright overwhelming. For example, she says that you should sort through items before starting to organize. In a nutshell, the KonMari method is holding something in your hand and asking yourself, “Does this item spark joy in my life?” If not, it’s time to toss it out.
