It might not be more Gilmore Girls, but it’s CLOSE. Lauren Graham has just snagged her first post-Gilmore Girls role in a brand new Fox show, and if we can’t have Lorelai Gilmore, Linda from HR sure sounds like the next best thing. And we’ll take whatever Lauren Graham we can get.

This new show — which is actually called Linda from HR — will focus on Graham’s character, Linda Plugh. The single-camera show will follow Linda, and “all it takes is one bad decision to throw Linda from HR’s monotonous, unfulfilled life into an exciting but dangerous tailspin of balancing work life, home life and a secret that could unravel everything.”

Unfulfilled life? Tailspin? SECRET THAT COULD UNRAVEL EVERYTHING? Sign us up.

The show was ordered back in January, and now with Lauren’s involvement there’s a high chance we’ll get to meet Linda during the 2017-2018 TV season. This is all kinds of exciting, if only because Lauren will be back on TV again. Following her starring role in Gilmore Girls, she went on to star in NBC’s Parenthood. And then after Parenthood, more Gilmore Girls. Let’s hope this is actually a trend, and then after Linda from HR, Lauren will go back to Gilmore Girls.

Not that we continue to hold out hope for more Year in the Life or anything. But, uh, we are.
