There are a LOT of Parenthood cameos in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but Lauren Graham was obsessed with making just one cameo happen. Which of her former castmates did she NEED to have in the revival? Peter Krause, duh!

Every Parenthood and Gilmore Girls fan was pleasantly surprised when not one, but three different actors made the jump to Graham’s four-episode revival of her iconic Stars Hollow show.

We love each and every one of them, but the 49-year-old actress revealed that there was one name that she was really excited about.

While promoting her new book, Talking As Fast As I Can in New York City at a 92nd Street Y talk with Michael Ausiello, Graham explained that Krause’s cameo almost didn’t happen, which eventually led to her on-screen flame, Jason Ritter, to get his cameo as well.

In order to keep Krause in the role as park ranger for the “Fall” episode, Lauren Graham convinced Gilmore Girls’ creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino to split the role into two park rangers, the second one being Ritter.

The third Parenthood appearance was by Lauren Graham’s on-screen daughter, Mae Whitman, who was really sick when they filmed her role.

Despite being sick on set, Whitman’s quick appearance make us so happy. Which Parenthood cameo was your favorite in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life?
