If you’re looking forward to the final season of the hit TV series, The Vampire Diaries, we’ve got some pretty exciting news for you. According to Noelle Devoe at Seventeen, it appears that actor Michael Trevino will officially be returning for the show’s final season! That’s right: You likely remember him starting from the very first season of the show, where he portrayed the character of Tyler Lockwood. Lockwood, of course, is the football star who turned into a werewolf, then turned into a vampire, then turned into a hybrid of the two. So pretty much your typical high school experience, right?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Trevino will return in the third episode of the eighth and final season of the show. While we don’t have the full details of the plot just yet, we can expect that Trevino’s character will offer some support and guidance to vampire Damon, whose life is spiraling out in a pretty scary way. How this will end up, however, is anyone’s guess, given that the two characters have a history filled with some major beef on screen. false

Fans of the show are still waiting with baited breath to find out whether or not the beloved character Elena will return for the show’s final season. Let’s be real: If you’re a fan of the show, who isn’t waiting for all that the final season has to offer? We don’t know what it has in store, but we’re willing to bet it’s going to be pretty darn awesome — and intense!
