This is the time of year where all of the television networks are starting to prepare for next season. We’re at the halfway point of the current television season and May will be before we know it. Over the next few days television executives will be presenting their plans for the 2017-2018 season. Luckily though, the CW renewed Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Supernatural, Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow ,and Supergirl so all of your favorite shows are coming back for another round. Have no fear about finding another fave. President of the network, Mark Pedowitz said in a statement,  “Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas. Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”

All of these shows have proven to be strong performers for the network, with longtime show Supernatural going into it’s thirteenth (!!) season. Dramadies like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend have earned critical acclaim, Golden Globe Award nominations (Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez won a Golden Globe for the show in 2015) and have solid fan bases.

But it is the DC Comic shows, all lead by producer Greg Berlanti, dubbed “Berlantiverse” that have really helped the network create a foothold. All of the shows are solid ratings performers and have created a space for DC Comics to thrive in a way that they can’t on film.

While we’re excited to see what new shows the network will air, we’re really happy that all of our favorites will be back!
