It’s been more than three years since the last episode of the a-MAH-zing show Happy Endings ended, and we’ve missed it ever since. But there’s very exciting news, because the show’s creator got several of the writers together again to write a new script of the series. As of now, there is no news that they will actually be filming the episode. Instead, the entire cast will return to read the script at a live table reading at PopFest this weekend in Los Angeles. We are so excited, because the episode sounds super dramatic.
Creator David Caspe was really pumped to get his Happy Endings team back together.
Happy Endings is a fan favorite comedy that followed a quirky and hilarious group of six friends. It starred a comedy powerhouse of incredible talent — Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans, Jr., and Casey Wilson. Now, the creators of the series are reviving the fabulous comedy for one more script. David told Entertainment Weekly that he and some of the writers had been hard at work writing this new script.
Can we just say, we’re SO happy that they did.
David revealed some of the plot details of the new episodes, and it sounds super fabulous!
David explains that moments after the season finale, the six friends got into a massive fight. They stopped speaking to each other and haven’t seen each other since that night, 939 days ago. Also, David drops the bomb that somebody dies. OMG, what?!
We can’t even believe that news, but we are dying to find out what happens!
David also explained that they’re doing the table read for the most incredible reason.
They are using the event to raise money in memory of their their script supervisor on the show, Tracy Scott, who passed away from breast cancer earlier this year. In her honor, the event made a donation in her name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
