Netflix just tweeted the MOST cryptic thing about the "Gilmore Girls" pregnancy
Oh, did you think we were done talking about Gilmore Girls for 2016? Well, here’s to squeezing in one last little thing Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, and this is a BIG thing. It’s about the big bombshell at the very end of A Year in the Life, Rory’s pregnancy. You’re going to want to listen to this.
As you know — because you watched all of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life — just like the circle of life, at the end of the revival series Rory confesses to her mother that she’s pregnant. But now WHO is the father? Obviously, we kind of assumed it was Logan, since this would fulfill the Gilmore Girls prophecy of:
Christopher = Logan
Luke = Jess
We’re surprisingly okay with that analogy, because #TeamJess forever. However, now Netflix has throw a super cryptic wrench into this, and is teasing us with the fact that maybe Logan ISN’T the father. It might be Paul. Or the Wookie. And our hearts can’t handle this right now.
The image Netflix tweeted out is very much a callback to April during Season 6, when she performs her ~fancy~ DNA experiment and learns that Luke is her father. At the time, April had three different dad contenders. It appears as if Rory does now, too, since Paul and the Wookie are back in play.
This is NOT something we were expecting to see today, and it has thrown us for a loop. Also, now we can’t help but wonder: WHY is Netflix tweeting this? It sure seems like the streaming site has a few more Gilmore tricks up its sleeve. And you know what would already save 2017 ahead of time? More Gilmore Girls episodes, obviously.
