Here's why some people think we'll get a big "Gilmore Girls" announcement at the end of July
It’s no secret that we’ve been holding our collective breath waiting for the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix since the minute we first heard about it. We’ve analyzed every photo from the set for clues as to which boyfriend Rory ends up with (team Jess all the way!) and whether or not she becomes the next Christiane Amanpour. Do Luke and Lorelai ever make things official and tie the knot? Is all of Stars Hollow still swimming in Luke’s amazing coffee, or has everyone switched to decaf? (Please. You know that will never happen.)
We need some answers, and we need them now.
Luckily, we might get some soon. Sort of. The cast of the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (yes, that’s the official title of the revival) is set to begin its press junket. Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Scott Patterson, and Dan Palladino are all scheduled to appear at the Television Critics Association press tour on July 27. This is a really big deal because it will be the first public appearance where all the major Gilmore Girls players will be present. People are thinking something pretty big is going to go down at this event. Like, maybe we’ll finally get an air date. (Please let this happen.) Or *gasp* perhaps they’ll even drop the official trailer.
We also might get the scoop on how the episodes will be available: all at once, or in weekly installments. For the record, we vote for the former. We need ourselves a proper Gilmore Girls binge. Just saying.
The TCA press tour is a major event in the television industry, so all signs point to an exciting announcement on or around July 27. Mark your calendars! We. Are. So. Ready.
