Oh, Kahl Drogo. How we miss him so. The only person who misses him even MORE than us is the moon of his life, Dany. He was brought up a few times this past season, if you remember, during that one time Dany was held (very much against her will) by theDothraki. And then she set them all on fire, but that’s a story for another day…

Even though Khal Drogo is gone, he’s not forgotten. And if you are willing to subscribe to another ~out there~ Game of Thrones theory, he might just show up again on the show. Because if you can bring ONE person back to life, you should be able to bring everyone (cough*Jon*cough).

Is there anyway that Khal Drogo just might be…Azor Ahai, aka the Prince Who Was Promised, aka, the guy (OR LADY) who’s destined to save everyone from the Others, aka, the White Walkers.

Before we go on, know there are spoilers — because duh — and that this theory actually springs from the books, not the TV show. There’s so far no concrete evidence that Khal Drogo will return on the show, but Reddit user MrMasochist has a theory that it’s happening. In the books, Dany was told that Khal Drogo will come back to her when:

“The sun rises in the west and sets in the east, when the sea goes dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves, when your womb quickens and you bear a living child…”

Yeah, this theory is all about Khal Drogo just rising from the dead, not so much taking on the identity of Azor Ahai. But actually, anyone who has come back from the dead could be Azorl Ahi, since that’s a big part of their identity (and their magical Westeros superpowers). On top of that, if you don’t literally interrupt the prophecy, the sea might be the Dothraki Sea (which is actually a desert, because of course it is) and the mountain might be THE Mountain — jumping in with another theory, what happens if The Hound defeats the Mountain and he ~blows in the wind~?

Far out there? Hey, Game of Thrones really likes to mess with us and make us think, in case you had forgotten.

If that’s not enough,it sure feels like something is going on with Khal Drogo offscreen. Jason Momoa is a huge Game of Thrones fan. Like, epic. Like, maybe more so than all of us combined. He’s always Instagram’ing pictures of him watching the show, and is not hiding his love for it. Or the fact that he’d 100000000% return if give the opportunity.

Might this happen? Is Khal Drogo the one who’s going to save us all? We’re just going to have to wait and see.
