The CW just picked up four – count ’em four – new shows to series and can it please just be fall already, we want to watch these all NOW! The network already created a reputation for itself for bringing to life some really incredible characters. Between Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow, we know that they can do justice to beloved stories.

So it’s really exciting that they’re going to be tackling some new and familiar shows.

All right everybody, let’s give a warm welcome to all the new CW shows!

We love the CW for its roster of DC superhero shows. And that means we are SUPER excited to welcome this super cool and inclusive family-oriented superhero drama into the fold. Jefferson Pierce AKA Black Lightning will portray the CW/DC Universe’s first major black superhero. And we can’t wait to follow the adventures of Lightning. He’s a retired masked crusader who MAY be coming out of retirement, and ABSOLUTELY has his hands full with his adolescent daughters.

This ’80s soap about warring power families the Colbys and the Carringtons got a thrilling reboot from producers Josh Schwartz (of O.C. fame) and Stephanie Savage (who, with Schwartz, brought us Gossip Girl). The pair wrote the pilot with showrunner Sallie Patrick, who has a Revenge pedigree. These people KNOW how to do smart-as-heck soaps, and we’re particularly excited about the topical oil vs. alternative energy drama that serves as the background for the family drama. Also, whereas the original Dynasty is painfully white, the casting of the reboot will be pointedly inclusive, hooray!

Rumor has it the CW’s been in the market for a military drama for a while now. And they got one in Valor, starring Sleepy Hollow’s Matt Barr (pictured above) and Animal Kingdom‘s Christina Ochoa. So what’s the show about? Welp, according to the logline:

Um, yes, we will definitely be watching that, consider it DVR’d.

Already freaking out about the end of Pretty Little Liars? Good news! PLL star Lucy Hale will star in a new show coming to the CW this fall! In Life Sentence, Hale plays a young woman diagnosed with terminal cancer, who starts living like there’s no tomorrow. Then she finds out she’s actually NOT dying. And she suddenly needs to deal with the consequences of all the “live like you’re dying” choices she made.

We are SO excited for all these new CW shows!

Our DVRs are going to be stuffed to bursting come fall!
