Our love affair with The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend started when we first heard the theme song. It was so catchy, so clever, and such a take down of that whole “crazy ex” phenomenon. And, best of all, it was just the start to something really amazing.

Then, after a whirlwind first season, Crazy-Ex Girlfriend was back with a new theme song that got even more insane than its predecessor. “They say love makes you crazy,” the backup singers croon, “therefore you can’t call her crazy, because when you call her crazy, you’re just calling her in love!”

What followed were a ton more tunes, and now they’re all available on the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season two soundtrack.

The album came out on Friday and we snatched it up immediately, of course. Ever since then, we’ve been belting it out like Rebecca Bunch and getting our booty shake on all over our dance floor — okay, we mean our bedroom.

With almost forty different tracks, including five demo tracks that were steps along the way to finishing up the final songs, it’s hard to pick any favorites. But there are a couple that stand out.

Like the very Marilyn Monroe “The Math of Love Triangles.”

In an interview with Billboard, Rachel Bloom broke down the inspiration for the song.

Rachel Bloom also riffed on Spice Girls with “Friendtopia,” Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons with “Santa Ana Winds,” and Blink-182 with “Ping Pong Girl.”

And who could forget the homages to Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Disney princess classics.

There’s even a call back to the season one original, “The Sexy Getting Ready Song.”

One of our favorites — and one of Rachel’s — is “Who’s The New Guy?”

Rachel also dished to Billboard about what her writing process is like.

“I write a lot in the bath. It’s probably how I’m going to die. I’m going to get electrocuted someday because I have my computer on a bath caddy, and yeah, it’s literally how I’m going to die, but it’s worth it because I write great things in the bath, so it’s fine.”

Lucky for us, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s already been renewed for season three. It’s just a matter of time before we have a whole new season of songs to sing along to.
