As many in Bachelor Nation already know, ABC announced the new Bachelor this morning and the whole world is screaming “Who?” But seriously though, who is this man they appointed as The Bachelor?

His name is Arie Luyendyk Jr. and he was a runner-up on Emily Maynard’s season in 2012.

You might also be saying “who?” to Emily Maynard, and we don’t blame you for that either. Your mom likely LOVED Luyendyk. He’s 35. He hasn’t been on Bachelor in Paradise. He’s a race car driver and he is as surprised to be the show’s star as you are. “It’s been such a quick turn of events and my family doesn’t know,” Luyendyk revealed on Good Morning America.

Anyway, this is your next leading man, America.

Naturally, Twitter has feelings about it, and most of those feelings are ones of confusion. As in, they don’t know who he is.

Lol the show’s mega fans are threatening to boycott.

Fans also seem pretty upset that all the gossip on the street pointed to one of their faves or at least a runner-up from Rachel’s season being crowned the next Bachelor.

The show’s creator Mike Fleiss likes teasing fans on Twitter, so he posted this the other day.

Where was Mr. ? when he made this lineup?

Then none of those guys were options and suddenly The Bachelor choice was a “shocking” one.

Welps, guess we’ll find out how boring or not boring Luyendyk is when the show likely airs in the beginning of January.

Boy bye!
