Amy Schumer went to a "Judge Judy" taping, and Twitter couldn't handle it
The internet loves an unusual celebrity sighting, so we’re not surprised by the overwhelming response to seeing Amy Schumer at a Judge Judy taping. During the August 17 episode, the 35-year-old Snatched star was spotted sitting in the audience of the popular court show issuing a mean side-eye, apparently in response to the legal shenanigans unfolding before her eyes.
While it’s certainly not the most outrageous thing to take place in Judge Judy‘s courtroom, Twitter absolutely could not handle it seeing Schumer observing the proceedings like it was NBD, and we totally get it. Like, who are you gonna pay more attention to: two men arguing over Yu-Gi-Oh! playing cards (srsly) or a celeb casually taking in all the drama from the sidelines?
Our apologies to the dudes debating over cards, but a Schumer appearance on Judge Judy will probably always steal your shine.
Obviously, people had questions that needed answers:
Later, the comedian shared a snapshot on Instagram, confirming her courtroom visit.
If you’ll recall, Schumer got to be Judge Judy for the day earlier this year when she and her sister toured the studio. Not only was she allowed to approach the bench, she actually sat in the judge’s chair and even practiced a no-look document pass with Byrd the Bailiff.
LOL. We love it. Hopefully this won’t be the last time we’ll see Schumer in Judge Judy’s courtroom, as long as she remains on the right side of the bar.
