When we heard Samantha Bee was hosting Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night, we knew we were in for an incredibly funny treat. But we were in no way prepared for the appearance of one of our favorite press secretaries on the TV special (even if she is a fictional one).

Allison Janney made a cameo as The West Wing‘s press secretary C.J. Cregg on Samantha Bee’s TV special, and she totally slayed.

C.J. fields a range of questions from a motley crew of “journalists,” which include someone who’s “18 and in [his] father’s suit” and a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band member.

And there’s plenty of Cregg one-liners to go around.

Cregg clearly sums up her (and Samantha Bee’s) message at the end.

Check out the full clip for some C.J. goodness:

Bee’s event also focused on continued protection of free speech. The star-studded shindig was a fundraiser for the Committee to Protect Journalists, and raised over $200,000! If you enjoyed the show, you can also donate to this First-Amendment-defending group right here.

And while we’re recapping the evening, let’s not forget the actual White House Correspondents’ Dinner — there were plenty of laughs be had at the Trump-less event. The Daily Show‘s Hasan Minhaj hosted, and brought down the house with his hilarious speech.

All in all, we’d say this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner (really, BOTH of them) were pretty entertaining.
