Alicia Silverstone's starring in TV Land show based on the life of a "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star
It’s no longer all about the ’90s for the Clueless star, this time Alicia Silverstone is going ’70s in TV Land’s newest dramedy, American Woman, and we are all in.
While Silverstone will forever embody the ’90s because of her perfect portrayal of Cher Horowitz in Clueless, which is still one of the greatest movies ever, the 40-year-old actress is taking on a different era and making her way to TV and we’re kind of freaking out about it.
Silverstone is set to star in TV Land’s upcoming ’70-set series, American Woman, TVLine has confirmed, and it’s already been greenlit for 12 episodes.
So who will Silverstone play in the disco-styled, throwback series? She’ll be playing Bonnie Nolan, who is struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband.
American Woman is written by 30 Rock’s John Riggi and he will be teaming up with John Wells as co-executive producers. It will be added to TV Land’s 2017 roster and we can barely wait to see it.
Silverstone trying to be a successful single mother, while living it up in the ’70s, which is full of fabulous fashion? Ah, we are seriously in love with this TV show concept.
What do you think of Silverstone’s new TV role? Will you be tuning in?
