It’s no secret that we’re completely obsessed with all things Halloween around here. You can’t blame us though. There are so many reasons to love this spook-tastic time of year: the parties, the endless amounts of sugar, and the epic costumes. But the best part: When October rolls around, we get to rewatch some of the greatest Halloween-themed TV episodes ever created. And with just two weeks left until the big day, there’s really no better time to take a walk down memory lane and watch our favorite TV characters get dressed up and make some creepy Halloween magic.

Who really needs to go outside when binge-watching classic Halloween TV specials has never been easier? Thanks to Hulu, Netflix, and our trusty TV guide.

So grab all your pumpkin spiced fall snacks and warm beverages, cuddle up with your blanket, your boo, or both, and settle in for a long night with these 10 Halloween episodes.

1Boy Meets World – “And Then There Was Shawn”

This iconic episode of Boy Meets World originally aired in February, but we couldn’t resist including it on our list of TV frights-fests to rewatch around Halloween. When Cory and the gang are sentenced to detention by Mr. Feeny, things take a terrifying Scream-inspired turn as a masked killer roams the halls of John Adams High.

And the cherry on top? Slasher flick veteran Jennifer Love Hewitt guest stars as Jennifer Love Fefferman, and clearly, she knew exactly what they did last summer.

2Saved by the Bell – “Mystery Weekend”

This isn’t exactly a Halloween episode but there’s a creepy murder involved, so we think it deserves a spot on this list. As part of Lisa’s prize for winning a radio contest, the Bayside gang gets to visit a mansion to take part in a mystery weekend. But there’s a sinister twist: There is a real killer on the loose. Think a game of Clue meets Scooby Doo…and everyone is just trying to figure out whodunit!

3The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – “Hex and the Single Guy”

After Hilary loses her fiancé, Trevor, she drags everyone to a psychic named Scorpius for a séance to communicate with her dearly departed love. Will doesn’t believe Scorpius is for real and keeps mocking him. An angry Scorpius puts a curse on Will and the family and soon terrible things start happening — including Geoffrey getting arrested and Hilary falling in love with Jazz (Uncle Phil’s worst nightmare). While the entire episode is highly entertaining, probably the best part is seeing Carlton dressed up as his idol, Macaulay Culkin.

4Charmed – “All Halliwell’s Eve”

For years, devoted fans (like ourselves) have been clinging to the hope that someone, somewhere would create a reboot of Charmed. We’re not sure if or when that’ll happen but until it does, we can revisit our favorite episodes. The Halloween episode of season three involves time travel, sister witches cackling on a broomsticks, a forever relevant note of “the wisdom and power of women,” and a ridiculous amount of body glitter.

5New Girl – “Halloween”

The episode mostly happens at Jess’s seasonal gig at a haunted house. She’s dressed as what Schmidt described as a “Zombie Woody Allen”. Nick gets attacked by a clown as he made his way through the haunted house, and ends up punching Jess in the face. There’s also quite a bit of navigating relationships and romantic situations in-between the typical talk of ghouls and goblins.

6Supernatural – “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester.”

Sure, every episode of Supernatural could easily pass as a Halloween episode, but when the series finally decided to participate in the holiday properly, it was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. The “Great Pumpkin” episode finds Sam and Dean racing against the clock to stop a group of witches from resurrecting a demon known for unleashing terror and raising the dead on, you guessed it, All Hallow’s Eve.

Along with the nail biting storyline, there’s scalding hot apple-bobbing water, and mention of razor blade-candy bars that’ll probably make you look twice at every piece of candy this Halloween.

7Friends – “The One With the Halloween Party”

When Monica and Chandler host a Halloween party, Phoebe realizes she’s crushing on her twin sister’s fiancé, while the other friends spend the rest of the episode bickering in silly costumes. Oh, and Rachel decides to hand out money to trick-or-treaters. Also, best costume definitely goes to Ross’ “poop”-looking “Spud-nik” outfit.

8How I Met Your Mother – “The Slutty Pumpkin”

MacLaren’s Pub is having its annual Halloween party and the whole group dresses up. In “Slutty Pumpkin” we learn that Ted has worn the same “hanging chad” costume for four years in the hopes of reuniting with his Slutty Pumpkin — a girl wore a slutty pumpkin costume the first time he saw her and whose number he lost in 2001 and can’t quite get over. Barney is his usual encouraging wingman self, Robin is also searching for love in the big city, and Lily and Marshall are our #couplegoals in matching costumes.

9Grey’s Anatomy – “Haunt You Every Day”

It’s Halloween. Meredith has a nightmare about her mother and Derek. She immediately goes into her closet and takes her mother’s urn because she’s now convinced her mother’s ashes are haunting her. Talk about dark and twisty!

10Goosebumps – “The Haunted Mask”

Goosebumps has given us four entire seasons of creepy television, but it was this episode of Season One that freaked us out the most back in the day. There’s a gruesome monster mask floating around and it becomes more and more attached every time someone puts it on, until it becomes a real, living face.

Happy Almost Halloween!
