It’s the end of the year, which means it’s also time for roundup lists aplenty (not that we mind). Today, we’ve got a new “best of” lists from IMDb: the Top 10 Stars of 2016 . Surprisingly, the list is, well, unsurprising. For example, we could have guessed with the success of the new Star Wars film, Daisy Ridley would make the list. Plus, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad stole the show in one of the most popular movies of the year. She would, clearly, make the list, too.

Perhaps the reason IMDbs Top 10 Stars of 2016 is kind of predictable is that the site determines the list based on page views. So, the popular stars we can’t stop checking out on IMDb are likely to make the list. And, for the most part, they really did. The Top 10 Stars list are the 10 people who consistently ranked highest in page views throughout the year.

So, who are IMDb’s Top 10 Stars of 2016?

  1. 1. Margot Robbie
  2. 2. Emilia Clarke
  3. 3. Millie Bobby Brown
  4. 4. Tom Hardy
  5. 5. Morena Baccarin
  6. 6. Gal Gadot
  7. 7. Alicia Vikander
  8. 8. Daisy Ridley
  9. 9. Haley Bennett
  10. 10. Leonardo DiCaprio

We noticed, and we LOVE it. In fact, 8 out of the 10 stars are women, which we’re thrilled about. IMDb also made a list of the Top 10 Breakout Stars of 2016.

The Top 10 Breakout Stars of 2016 are:

  1. 1. Millie Bobby Brown
  2. 2. Haley Bennett
  3. 3. Tom Holland
  4. 4. Natalia Dyer
  5. 5. Brie Larson
  6. 6. Evan Rachel Wood
  7. 7. Adam Driver
  8. 8. Sam Claflin
  9. 9. Jeffrey Dean Morgan
  10. 10. Sofia Boutella

Obviously, we’re  THRILLED to see Millie Bobby Brown top the list. Brown was a revelation in Stranger Things as Eleven, and is so talented we regularly forget that she’s only 12-years-old.

So full of awesome females we love, IMDb’s Top 10 lists are definitely the kind of end-of-year roundups that we can get behind.
