Tina Fey takes off her #LastDressEver to say goodbye to Letterman
The countdown to David Letterman’s last night hosting The Late Show is fast approaching, and to mark the occasion Tina Fey decided to do something extra special for her 20th and last appearance with Dave. Fey told Dave and the crowd that this would be her last time wearing a dress on a talk show, because why would she wear one for Jimmy Fallon or James Corden when it requires so much work?
“What, am I going to put a dress on for Jimmy?” she asks. “That’s creepy — he’s like my brother. I’m gonna wear special underwear for James Corden? That’s not gonna happen. Next time you see me, I’ll be playing charades in a Slanket.”
For the record, the dress she rocked was SUPER gorgeous, so way to pick a great one to say farewell to dress-wearing on talk shows.
After telling Dave that this was her last dress appearance and her last time conforming to wardrobe gender norms, Tina asked him for a hand with her zipper, and she stripped the dress right off. Underneath, she revealed a leotard with “Bye Dave” and “#LastDressEver” on it. The quick strip won her a standing ovation, and why wouldn’t it? She’s hilarious! Congrats on your #LastDressEver, Tina, and enjoy that Slanket!
