The Slow Mo Guys are at it again, y’all. The crafty YouTube duo of Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy have the ability to lure us into watching stuff that we never thought we’d care about, like this totally mesmerizing video of the magic that happens when someone hurls a hammer through a mirror.

At first glance, this sounds like a rather effective and quick way to de-stress but the slow-mo playback reveals something that has us more excited than we were about The Slow Mo Guys slicing through JELL-O with a tennis racket (which was pretty freakin’ cool, BTW).

So, let’s take a look at the sped-up video playback at 2500 frames per second, which is the speed at which they normally film.

That’s relatively gratifying and basically what we expect when you throw a hard object at glass. But when they play back footage that was filmed at 120,000 frames per second, they capture a literal shock wave caused by the collision and we’re pretty sure it’s one of the most amazing things we’ve ever seen IRL.
