This is what Disney princesses would look like if they wore iconic red carpet dresses
We love Disney princesses here at HG. So much so, we decided to create their very, very own column and special space here on the site. Every other week, our super-talented, creative genius artists will be crafting Disney princess art reimagined in ALL kinds of different settings, eras, clothes, and fictional realms.
Why Disney princesses, you ask? Well, it’s because so many of us have have grown up with these empowering ladies. They showed us true strength, courage, kindness, and awesome fashion (duh). They taught us to strive for the greatest, even when circumstances seem very bleak. They embodied magic and curiosity, and so, so much glitter.
And so we wondered —what would our beloved princesses look like in other worlds? In new clothes? In new roles? Since the 2015 MTV Movie Awards are coming up (April 12th!), we decided to celebrate all the fun and glitzy outfits celebs bust out for the red carpet.
Plus, you never know when a red carpet gown can be the start to something huge, like Google Images. It was recently revealed that Jennifer Lopez’s green Versace dress was essentially the reason Google Images was created. So many people were Googling “Jennifer Lopez green dress” hoping to find pictures, but at the time only regular ‘ole Google search existed. Yup. Now you know.
So, this week, brilliant artist Victoria Rosas dressed up Princess Jasmine, Merida, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Snow White, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, and Pocahontas in gowns she thought suited them best. Take a look!
