When Avengers: Infinity War opens in 2018, it’s going to include a lot of Avengers. So how many are we talking, like ten? Fifteen? Twenty?

Oh no no, take that twenty, and triple it, and then add seven. For Avengers: Infinity War, directors Joe and Anthony Russso have a list of 67 characters they’re looking to bring to life. Speaking at Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con this past weekend, the brothers explained, “We have so many characters we’re dealing [in the next movie]. We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it.”

Joe Russo semi-explained the need for so many characters to Comic Book Resources stating, “The concept of Infinity War is that the Marvel universe unites to battle the greatest threat to the world and universe that you’ve ever seen, and we’re going to honor that concept…people will not be disappointed in the amount of characters in the movie.”

But real talk, friends: Can you even name 67 Marvel characters off the top of your head? That’s a lot to fit into one movie, especially if all of them are competing for minutes of screentime — or seconds.
