There's a warrant out for Elsa from 'Frozen's' arrest. Seriously.
As you read this, you might be in one of the many states across the country that is currently being ravaged by snow, ice, a mixture of snow and ice, extremely cold temperatures, and oh yeah MORE SNOW. The weather is kind of insane right now. One police department has taken matters into their own hands, and has decided to round up Winter’s #1 suspect: Elsa from Frozen. Because yes, fiction and reality are a blurry line and a slippery slope.
Yesterday, the Harlan PD in Harlan, Kentucky, posted this bulletin to their Facebook page: “HPD has issued an arrest warrant for Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song ‘Let it Go!’ As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend her alone.”
This is cute officers.
The Harlan residents — who are currently battling about a foot of snow — responded immediately, and less than 10 minutes later HPD followed up explaining that it was all a joke but that, “all kidding aside, the weather has been very dangerous and temps will get worse. Everyone please take precautions to stay safe and warm. Stay off the roads unless it is an emergency. Watch out and help others who may need help.” Very true.
I’ve given up singing about letting all of this snow go, and instead find myself humming, “In Summer.” We all need to keep thinking warm thoughts.
