Saturday Night Live frequently has us (and the rest of humanity) in fits of hysterical laughter. Which is why we’re so bummed that two of our favorite cast members —  Taran Killam and Jay Pharaoh — won’t be returning for the show’s upcoming 42nd season. We guess all good things must come to an end

We know what you’re probably thinking (WHAAAAAAAAAT?!).

But there’s a silver lining! While Killam doesn’t know why his contract wasn’t renewed, he’ll be both directing and starring in the upcoming comedy Why We’re Killing Gunther, which also stars fellow SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan, Cobie Smulders (who’s also Killam’s real-life wife!), and Arnold Schwarzenegger!

“It’s always hard and sad to say goodbye, but it feels like an appropriate time and I am so, so grateful to have been a cast member on Saturday Night Live,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

And Pharaoh’s expected to be kept super busy with stand-up shows around the country and several voice-acting roles in animated features. We’re officially calling it: We expect to see a lot of him in the coming years!

And now, for some of the most epic Killam and Pharaoh moments, for the road:

Killam killing it as Trump (alongside Cecily Strong as Melania)

Pharoah slaying it as Obama

Killam as Eminem and Pharaoh as Lil’ Wayne. Sigh. Don’t go!

We wish these guys the best of luck with all their new endeavors. We know you’re gonna kill it!
