A modern day love story happened on the campus of the University of Wisconsin—Madison and it all went down over Snapchat.

UW student Abby Diamond saw a strikingly handsome guy on the local campus Snapchat story. So she posted a message to him, hoping he’d see it:

“To the guy wearing the Vikings Jersey in the UW Snap Story, I’m seriously in love with you. Find me.”

She was referring to Reed Bjork, a fellow UW student who saw Abby’s plea after a friend pointed it out to him. He was intrigued:

“To the girl from Memorial Library. It looks like they took down my first Snap. That’s ok. If it’s fate, maybe they’ll post this one. Meet me here.”

How very Sleepless in Seattle of him!

But Abby wasn’t actually expecting a response from her mystery guy, so she totally missed his message at first. When Abby did finally see it, she consulted her roommate (because duh) about what to say, and after Snapping back and forth, they eventually decided to meet up at The KK, a popular college bar near campus.

Since all of this back and forth was happening on Snapchat, AKA basically in public, interested students quickly caught on and were rooting them both on through their own Snaps.

And then… at The KK… they finally met.

Reed and Abby have since been hanging out and getting to know each other, but mostly they’ve been dealing with the newfound fame their Snapchat love story has brought on. There’s even a video montage posted on YouTube to celebrate:

“When this starts dying down, we’ll start going on dates then,” Abby said in a phone interview with Mashable.

Could this be the first-ever Snapchat marriage? Probably a liiiitttttle too early to tell, but let’s just hope this Snapchat love story turns out more like Sleepless in Seattle than Romeo and Juliet.
