Guardians of the Galaxy is easily one of our favorite Marvel movies, because it combines so many of our favorite things: space, dancing, Chris Pratt. But even though you might have seen it already a hundred times, you might be missing the BIG THING in the movie. What is it? Beats us. We don’t know, and director James Gunn isn’t telling.

Marvel loves its Easter eggs as much as it loves its superheroes. All the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are connected, as we know. But then there are other things connecting the movies together, too — the Easter eggs. Guardians has a lot of references to other heroes as it is, but there’s still one BIG, HUGE Easter egg in the movie that NO ONE has picked up on yet.

Gunn is getting ready to go off and film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (seriously the best movie name ever). Over the weekend, he not only threw a huge going away party, but he invited fans along for the party too, by leaving numerous comments on their Facebook questions.

One fan asked if ALL the Easter eggs had been discovered by now. I mean, the movie has been out for over a year. But according to Gunn, were still far off. The BIG one is still out there. So what is it??

There are a lot of things it could be. It could be a reference to either a past Marvel movie, or a future one (one part of Phase 3, like Doctor Strange). It could also be a reference to something in Guardians that hasn’t been revealed yet. It could be about Peter Quill’s dad (who is a big mystery).

Or maybe it’s actually a quick cameo from dancing hero Kevin Bacon, and no one’s spotted it yet.

This isn’t the first time Gunn has mentioned this GIGANTIC Easter egg, and still, it goes uncovered. Will we ever find it? And just how BIG is BIG in the Marvel scope of things?

Looks like we’ve got a galaxy wide Easter egg hunt on our hands, people.
