We all know Max Greenfield as the beloved goofball named Schmidt on New Girl. But you’ll never believe where Mr. Greenfield scored one of his first acting gigs: On the one and only Gilmore Girls.

The New Girl actor only appears on one episode (that being Chicken or Beef? in 2003) and only has two lines. But boy, are they a couple of *great* lines:

To refresh your memory, in this episode, Dean gets married. But he also has a bachelor party the night before with the above gaggle of guys, during which they burst into Luke’s Diner singing the Stars Hollow High fight song and drunkenly demand some grub.

That’s when Greenfield gets his glory moment:

And, scene.

Greenfield has had a storied history since getting his start in the early ’00s, appearing on shows like: The O.C (as a young Sandy Cohen), Veronica Mars (as a Sheriff’s Deputy), Ugly Betty, The Mindy Project, American Horror Story, Bob’s Burgers, and, of course, New Girl.

Now, if you need us, we’ll be in our room, listening to some mainstream hip-hop. Or watching New Girl. Or both.
