Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen recreated "The Lion King" musical just for fun
The Late Late Show with James Corden has been KILLING IT lately with their silly skits and celebrity carpool karaoke. If you loved his recent segment, “Crosswalk the Musical: Grease,” during which James Corden and his charming theater company perform songs from Grease on a crosswalk during red lights, you’re going to love his latest crosswalk production — The Lion King.
For this edition, Corden enlisted Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen, who are promoting their new movie Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Corden has Rose Byrne play both Nala and Timon and leaves Seth to hilariously play “scenery,” like “trees, birds, rocks, stuff like that.” Corden, meanwhile, chooses himself to play Simba.
Watch an upbeat Rose Byrne and a detached Seth Rogen sing fan favorites like, “I Just Can’t Wait to be King,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” It’s adorable.
Corden jokes, “I hope more than anything that they just enjoy it, that they will see that making sh*t movies is not a good way to live your life.” And at the end, of course, he soaks everyone in champagne.
Never change, James Corden.
