The Empire State Building has garnered a reputation for getting festive, whether that’s lighting up for Halloween, Valentine’s Day, sporting events, or in the case of last night, Christmas. However, this is the season of generosity and love, so it didn’t do it alone. A cappella group Pentatonix joined in, performing “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy” from their holiday album “That’s Christmas To Me,” to create a synchronized musical light show that just blew our minds.

As Pentatonix performed their hit, the Empire State Building lit up, switching colors and patterns to the tune. As a result, all of New York was privy to this festive celebration as the colors actually seemed to dance and light up the city sky.

Captured on video, this display didn’t just get New Yorkers in the holiday spirit, but also all of us, as we watch it again and again during these last few days (sob) before Christmas arrives. Luckily, there’s still time for even more Christmas miracles to occur, and we hope they’re all as creative and catchy as this one.
