Doesn’t it feel GREAT to live in a world where we get daily Muppet updates? Following the amazing news that The Muppet Show is coming back to television, now we’ve got a little bit more information about what exactly this new show will look like. For starters, it’ll be more “adult” than its predecessor. Also, it might remind us a little bit of 30 Rock. Hold on, Muppets + 30 Rock is my new favorite combination.

ABC has released a premise for the show, and it looks like we’re going to get a peak behind the Muppet Show‘s red curtain: “The Muppets return to prime time with a contemporary, documentary-style show that — for the first time ever — will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages.”

The Muppets are in the process of trying to launch a new TV show, and this new TV show is going to take us through that whole process. It’s coming from Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady and Anger Management writer-producer Bob Kushell, and they’re describing the show has having a “30 Rock feel.” Yes. Yes. A million yeses. BRB, I gotta go high five a million angels.

That’s not all. According to Entertainment Weekly, “apparently producers are planning a series that will go deeper into the soap-territory that is the trademark of ABC’s biggest hits like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.”

So that’s Muppets + 30 Rock + a little bit of Scandal? I gotta go find five more million angels to high five.
