This transgender performer remade Beyoncé's "Lemonade" and the results are stunning
Ever since we saw Beyoncé’s EPIC movie Lemonade and listened to the album of the same name we’ve wanted to re-create every scene shot-by-shot nearly every day. Literally, who wouldn’t want to turn into Beyoncé and walk around the streets twirling a baseball bat in THAT dress and smashing out car windows while lip syncing to “Hold Up?”
Well, now a group of transgender performers have made that dream a reality by remaking Beyoncé’s Lemonade and the results are just P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N.
The clip stars Miss Shalae, an artist, performer, stylist, and Beyoncé impersonator, and was created by The Glass Wing Group, an all trans creative team.
The 11 minute film, titled Lemonade Served Bitter Sweet, was directed and co-produced by Miss Shalae, alongside Adisa Gooding, and was shot by Q Burdette, and allegedly took just 16 hours to create. Since being uploaded to Facebook, the clip has already gathered over 60,000 views.
Featuring the songs “Hold Up,” “Freedom,” “Sorry,” and “Six Inch,” the film is the perfect ode to Beyoncé’s masterpiece and features some seriously amazing dance routines, too.
Writing on Facebook, Miss Shalae said, “I hope your guys enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating! Thank You Beyonce for being such an amazing artist and inspiration!”
