Seth Rogen pretending to be Drake is something you're going to need to see right now
As though Drake didn’t make his “Hotline Bling” popular enough, now it’s getting even more airplay — erm, views — via Seth Rogen lip-syncing it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. So, stop what you’re doing and to watch it right now. Warning: You may cry from laughing so much.
On Friday, August 5, in honor of the Olympics starting, Rogen decided on “Hotline Bling” in order to pay homage to Canada, his hometown and Drake’s.
“OK, all of you guys know that the Summer Olympics kicked off today, and in honor of my beloved home country of Canada, I’m going to perform a legendary track by an amazing artist from the city of Toronto — or The 6, as he calls it,” Rogen said.
Then, he changed from his grey suit:
Into this grey turtleneck:
Yep, like the one Drake wore in his “Hotline Bling” video:
Seth Rogen’s impression of Drake’s moves were so similar, Drake himself probably would have been impressed. (I know we were.)
Fallon, too, was impressed and told Rogen he was the lip-sync battle champion. Fallon had competed against Rogen, singing Kent Jones’s “Don’t Mind” and Onyx’s “Slam” for his two performances. Seth Rogen had also done The Roots’s “Mellow My Man” as his first lip-sync song.
You can check out Rogen’s performance for yourself here. Note: “Hotline Bling” will be in your head all day, but it’s so worth it.
And check out how it compares with the original, of course:
