So, Selena Gomez just changed all her social media profile pictures and the internet is freaking out. Selena, who also happens to wear the title of “most followed on Instagram,” just changed her icons on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to a close up, moody portrait of half her face. And yes, this is enough to send the internet into a flurry. The star has been teasing music, and there’s secret whispers about a new album in the works.

This begs the question, is this the new artwork for her album? Although Selena hasn’t mentioned anything about the change, stylist Christian Classen also shared a version of the same photo on his own account. Although he didn’t post any extra details, he also tagged music video director Alek Keshishian, who directed “Hands to Myself.” Does this mean a new video’s coming? A new album? Or perhaps both?!

Although Selena has also been promoting her new Netflix show, 13 Reasons Why, and although there’s a possibility that these photos are actually from that, we’re crossing our fingers they’re not. Could this be a sneaky way of Selena telling us that something wicked this way comes? How much longer until we get something new that we can play on repeat? It seems like we’ll just have to wait and see. Until then, we’ll be stalking Selena’s social accounts in hopes of finding out more.
