Did anyone else start their day out as a complete emotional wreck? If you’re feeling extremely chippy, then perhaps it’s because you haven’t heard Regina Spektor’s new single “Black and White,” which has us so far gone off the feels, we can barely deal with life right now.

Bravo /

If you’re familiar with Spektor beyond hearing her sing the Orange is the New Black theme song, you already know the brilliant pianist-singer has a way of hitting you where it hurts. True to form, Spektor’s newest musical offering off her upcoming album Remember Us To Life hurts SO good, we promise it will have you crying real tears. Where her previous single “Bleeding Heart” warns us to not get too wrapped up in matters of the heart, the heartbreak theme of “Black and White” makes that largely unavoidable.

“When you left, I closed the door/Closed my eyes, sat on the floor/ Heart beast fast/Mine got slow/ This great love is all I know,” she sings.

OMGahhh, y’all. If this song leaves you in a bawling heap on the floor (and it will), brush yourself off and rejoice in the fact that cuffing season is right around the corner.
