Finally, we have something we’ve been anxiously waiting to lay our eyes upon: Mariah Carey’s “I Don’t” video. As promised, Mimi dropped the sexy visuals to her breakup song featuring rapper YG on Friday, and it’s just as deliciously shady as the “I Don’t” cover art, which means we love it, ICYDK. Divas of Carey’s stature never disappoint, and neither does this video.

So, if you’ve been tweeting/Instagramming/Facebooking Carey for helpful tips on how to pick up the pieces and move on after you’ve rejected a marriage proposal, then realize that she’s a) a busy woman and doesn’t have time to dish out personal love advice on social media; and b) all the answers you need are in the singer’s newest music video.

Step one to moving past the canceled engagement phase is accepting the fact that there actually won’t be a wedding. After you do that, go ahead and rent that fancy car you planned to drive off in after getting hitched, put on your wedding dress, hop in the back seat of the snazzy vehicle and sensually writhe around like this because who needs marriage?

Now that you’re single (again) and ready to mingle, you swap the wedding dress for something er, less matrimonial.

After you make yet ANOTHER wardrobe change (trust us, it’s necessary), you finally get to burn the wedding dress and stalk away with your dignity and your heart intact.

Here’s the full video/broken engagement tutorial:

As for those of you unfortunate souls on the receiving end of an “I do” that sadly turned into “I don’t,” you have our sincere regrets. Do yourselves a favor and spend some time today scouring Mimi’s video archives to see if they contain some relationship advice for you, too.
