You know Mandy Moore as the talented actress who dazzles us weekly on NBC’s hit show This Is Us. But do you remember Mandy Moore as the pop sensation and teen idol that won our hearts over with tunes like “Candy” and “I Wanna Be With You”? Well, we certainly haven’t forgotten. So, imagine how excited we were when we learned that Mandy Moore is planning to return to her musical roots! An album might be on the horizon for this multi-talented beauty, and we are seriously overjoyed.

It’s been eight years since Mandy’s last album dropped. And the talented musician/actress has amassed some impressive film and television credits in the meantime. When asked if she has any plans to return to music, Mandy told Glamour:

We miss it too, Mandy! Do you mind if we say…we miss you like candy?

We wonder what Mandy Moore 2.0 will sound like. A return to the pop that first made her famous? Or will her music, like the artist, have a more grown-up and mature sound?

When asked if she would go back to her pop roots, Mandy had different ideas about the direction of her music career going forward. She told Glamour:

We can’t wait to hear what Mandy Moore, singer/performer/songwriter 2.0, sounds like. But there is a little part of us that is hoping she’ll kick off the re-launch with a live performance of “Candy.” Couldn’t hurt, right?
