It may have taken its sweet time climbing to the top, but Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” has finally reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is Lizzo‘s first No. 1 hit, and we think we speak for everyone on Earth when we say we couldn’t be more proud of her.

“Truth Hurts,” which originally dropped in September 2017, had been happily resting in the No. 3 spot on the Hot 100 list last week, after spending most of August firmly planted at No. 4. However, in a wonderful twist of fate, as of September 3rd, “Truth Hurts” blasted into No. 1, and now we have nothing left to do but celebrate.

Move over, “Old Town Road” and “Señorita.” It’s Lizzo’s time to shine.

Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” is also enjoying its second week as No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, and the singer/flautist is reportedly the first black female artist of 2019 to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She’s the first solo female rapper to reign at No. 1 unaccompanied since Cardi B took the chart by storm in 2017 with “Bodak Yellow.”

Again, there’s a lot to celebrate. Pop the champagne. Bump the “Truth Hurts.” Let’s get this party started.

Roll the “Truth Hurts” memes, people. We just took a DNA test—turns out we’re 100% still laughing at these tweets.

Thank you, music industry, for realizing greatness when you see it.

With Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” at No. 1, keep the good times rolling and post more bad bitch content so we can laugh, relate, and thank Lizzo for the goodness she has bestowed upon society.
