Hip-hop and fashion always go great together, so it makes sense that Drake’s Louis Vuitton song should be featured on the label’s runway. Although, when you think of Drake, you don’t immediately think “most fashionable rapper.” If anything, he’s sort of normcore (until his friend Rihanna shows up, of course). But his song “Signs” worked, by all accounts, when it was played during Louis Vuitton’s menswear runway show at the Palais-Royal in Paris last week. There’s something about the vibe of the song, which sounds a lot like something off of More Life, that just works.

According to Rolling Stone, Drizzy’s music project, October Firm, curated all of the music for the show, though “Signs” is the only new Drake track on the playlist.

“Signs” was a perfect fit for the 2018 menswear line.

The track was released on Spotify a little while ago, so you might have already heard it. But it made its proper debut at the runway show and on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio on Beats 1 on Friday night. The dancehall-ish track was produced by longtime Drake collaborator Noah “40” Shebib.

The song pretty much perfectly reflects the high-fashion lifestyle. Some lyrics? How about, “Champagne with breakfast while I’m yawning / Can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning.”

“Signs” comes in around the 4:30 minute mark in the video below.

As of right now, it’s not clear whether the track is just a branded single (the “LV” logo is pictured as part of the single’s cover art) or part of a bigger project. Drake has been super busy this yearMore Life is still in the 5th spot on the Billboard 200 and he has three different tracks on the Hot 100.

Usually, Drake isn’t too quick to release new music, so this might have been a leftover track from the playlist or something more. Fans will surely find out soon, as “Signs” creeps up the charts after its super-fashionable debut.

Really, who cares, though? It’s a great track.
